When my husband and I decided to stop birth control, we never expected to get pregnant within two weeks. I’d been on birth control for many years and assumed that it would take my body some time to start ovulating again.
Three months at least…
Wrong.
For those two weeks we “tried” to get pregnant (and succeeded), we used Ovia’s fertility app. Supposedly, it helps women get pregnant three times faster than the national average! If your cycle is slightly irregular, the app is able to track these patterns. I liked monitoring my ovulation cycle through the fertility calendar.
When we found out we were pregnant, we
switched to Ovia’s Pregnancy Tracker. Love this one as well! With daily updates on the size of your baby, articles on pregnancy & childbirth, symptoms to watch out for, medications and foods to avoid, Ovia is my favorite pregnancy app. I check it every morning!
Anot
her app I check daily is The Bump. It lets you upload pictures of your belly every week and also offers tons of articles and reminders throughout your pregnancy. Every week, you can watch a short video on how your baby is developing and how you should be feeling at this point in your pregnancy.
In preparation for delivery, I also downloaded Full Term, designed to time contractions (last contraction, last hour, last 6 hours). It seems clear, clutter-free, and easy to use. It also lets you count your baby’s kicks when you get closer to delivery, something that most doctors/midwives recommend doing (10 kicks every three hours.)
