Baby Gifts We Love

In honor of our beautiful baby shower, here are five of our favorite gifts.

I will of course write more in depth reviews when we actually try them out with Baby Riehm (every baby is different and we may return some of these), but in the meantime, here are a few of our favorites:

1. Ergobaby Four Position 360 Baby Carrier (Black & Camel)

Comfortable, practical, easy to slip on and off… We tried a few and this was our winner. I can see us taking walks, traveling, and running basic errands with this one. Looking forward to trying it out when our little guy is old enough!

2. Baby K’Tan Breeze Carrier

Since I will be giving birth in June, we needed a carrier option that wouldn’t suffocate us or the baby (August can be rough in New York!) This carrier is the perfect compromise — the Breeze version of the K’Tan is made of mesh and fully breathable.

3. Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant Car Seat

My husband’s responsibility: to find us the safest car seat on the market. After some research on Consumer Reports, he chose the Chicco Keyfit. Looking forward to installing it. Thank you to my mother-in-law for spoiling us! 🙂

4. Graco Pack N’ Play On The Go Travel Playard

I struggled with this one… So many playard options out there! We wanted one that would be portable and easy, but that could also work as a bassinet for our bedroom. After checking out the Mamaroo Breeze and fancier Graco options, I opted for this basic travel version. It is not only the lightest, but the bassinet part can also be used as a napper and changer. No need for all the extra frills.

5. Sheepskin

My mother bought us this one after doing some research on the benefits of sheepskin on babies. Not only does it have temperature-regulating properties to keep babies warm in the winter and cool in the summer, but it also has a soothing, swaddling effect on babies. It can result in better sleep, reduced stress, and improved weight gain. As if that wasn’t enough, it is also gentle on baby’s skin and can help heal inflamed skin or rashes. Definitely excited to try this one out!
